About Nordic Beet Research (NBR)
Nordic Beet Research (NBR) is the industry’s central research and development organisation, established by sugar beet growers and the sugar industry in both Denmark and Sweden. NBR’s main purpose is to support and strengthen sugar beet cultivation. This is done through ongoing field trials, dissemination of new knowledge, and the delivery of information and demonstrations to relevant stakeholders.
The organisation also serves as an important link between the sugar beet sector and the broader research community. NBR collaborates with authorities and other stakeholders in the field, ensuring broad anchoring and knowledge sharing.
Staff and contact
Below you can find a presentation of NBR’s staff. The organisation includes scientific staff at both M.Sc. and PhD level, as well as an experienced trial unit in Denmark. If you need specialised knowledge or would like trial tasks carried out within sugar beet, you are very welcome to contact NBR.
In Sweden, the practical trial work is carried out by an external supplier. For questions regarding this work, you can contact Joakim Herrström.
