Zahra Salimi is a Project Manager at the Nordic Beet Research Foundation, working with field trials and applied research focused on more sustainable and climate-friendly sugar beet production. The work includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, optimising nitrogen use, and improving soil structure. Activities also cover mapping the climate footprint of sugar beet production and applying digital tools such as automation and image analysis. Responsibilities further include data management and reporting of trial results in collaboration with colleagues and external partners across Denmark and Scandinavia.
