Conclusion

In three trials 2023 with infestation of mainly beet rust, different strategies for controlling leaf diseases with fungicides have been studied. The highest yield and net income are seen in this year’s trials for treatments with tank mixtures. Among tank mixtures, mixture between 0,3 liter Comet Pro and 0,55 liter Propulse SE 250 per ha. is indicated to give a higher effect than mixture between 0,5 liter Amistar Gold and 0,55 liter Propulse per ha. The results indicate that in the tank mix the dose of one mixing partner can be reduced depending on the current infection pressure and variety susceptibility. Among the unmixed treatments using solo products, Comet Pro is indicated to be more effective than Amistar Gold and Propulse. Average of results from multiple years show that controlling leaf diseases result in a gain of 2,0 t sugar per ha. corresponding to a 13 per cent yield increase and DKK 2.900 per ha in net income.
