More about us

NBR (Nordic Beet Research) is a research and development organization for sugar beet producers and the sugar industry in Denmark and Sweden. Our work spans the entire production value chain.

We investigate soil treatment methods, the potential of varieties, disease control, harvesting and storage, and much more. We communicate the results so that they can be applied directly in the field.

Yes, we often collaborate with farmers who provide fields for field trials. Growers who participate get access to data and results and can apply new knowledge directly in their operations. This provides an opportunity to test new methods in local conditions and influence development.

All NBR’s reports, results from variety trials and other publications are available on our website. You can filter by year, topic and language and download the material as PDFs. There are often summaries in English as well.
